Organization preferences apply to every member of your organization. You'll find them under Settings > Preferences.
Preferences are no longer saved automatically as you type. Make your changes, then select Save changes to apply them. The button is disabled until something has changed.
If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, your browser will warn you before navigating away.
If a save fails, an error banner appears with a Retry button. Your edits stay in the form so you don't lose them.
Changing the default language reloads the app after saving, since it affects how content is translated for everyone in the organization.
Default language - must be one of AssetBolt's supported locales.
Currency - a three-letter ISO currency code (e.g. USD, EUR). It's stored in uppercase regardless of how you type it.
Date format - one of MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, or YYYY-MM-DD.
Time format - 12h or 24h.
Time zone - any supported IANA time zone (e.g. UTC, America/New_York).
First day of week - Sunday or Monday.
Asset tag prefix - up to 50 characters. Leave it blank to clear it.
Next asset tag number - an integer from 1 up to 2,147,483,647.
Default warranty - in months, from 0 up to 1,200 (100 years).
Default loan duration - in days, from 1 up to 36,500 (100 years).
Default audit interval - in days, from 1 up to 36,500.
Default depreciation method - must be one of the depreciation methods AssetBolt supports. See Depreciation.
Low stock alerts - toggle on or off. When on, set a low stock threshold between 1 and 1,000,000.
Checkout reminders and audit reminders can also be toggled here.
Email signature - up to 2,000 characters. Leave it blank to clear it.
Email logo URL - up to 2,048 characters, and must be a valid https:// URL. Non-HTTPS links (including http:// and things like javascript:) are rejected.
All of the limits above are enforced when you save. If a value is out of range, unsupported, or not one of the allowed options, the save is rejected and the field is highlighted so you can correct it.
