Printing asset labels

Asset labels are small printable stickers with a QR code that links straight to a device's detail page. Scan the label with a phone camera to open the record.

Find this feature at Settings -> Asset Labels.

Selecting devices

  • Use the search box to filter devices by name, asset tag, or serial number.

  • Click a device to select it, or use Select all to select every device matching the current search.

  • Selected devices show a running count and a batch limit note.

Batch limit

Each print batch is capped at 250 labels. If you try to select more:

  • Trying to add another device past the cap shows a warning and the device stays unselected.

  • Select all only fills up to the remaining slots and warns you that some matching devices were left out.

  • Once you're at the cap, unselected devices are shown as disabled until you free up room.

Printing

  • Select a single device to preview and print one label from its own card.

  • Select multiple devices and use the bulk print action to generate a sheet of labels (arranged in a grid for standard letter paper).

  • Each label shows the device's QR code, asset tag (or name if there's no tag), and serial number when available.

  • Printing waits until every QR code on the sheet has finished generating before opening the print dialog.

If something goes wrong

  • If a QR code fails to generate, the affected label is flagged and a Retry option appears. Printing stays disabled until every QR code in the batch is ready.

  • If your browser blocks the print pop-up, you'll see an error explaining the pop-up was blocked; allow pop-ups for the app and try again.

  • If the device list changes (devices added or removed) while a large batch is still loading, the page reports the issue so you can refresh and reselect rather than printing a stale or incomplete batch.
